RockRose Car and Window Tint has proven results on our tint blocking UV light, Infrared Rejection (IRR) and high heat rejections. Depending on which VLT (visible light transmission) percentage you choose you’ll have different rates of blocking the harmful rays. The lower the percentage VLT (5%) the darker the tint is in color and a higher percentage of blocking that you will receive. Each VLT percentage will help with the following: minimizing cabin heat, blocking Infrared Rays, and providing solar energy rejection.
What is Ultra-Violet (UV)? – it’s a type of energy produced by the sun. The sun’s UV is the main cause of skin cancer, too much UV exposure also causes sunburn, tanning, premature ageing and eye damage.
What is Infrared Rejection (IRR)? – is the total amount of infrared rays potentially rejected by the window film/glass. The higher the percentage the higher the amount of rays potentially rejected
What is Total Solar Energy Rejection (TSER)? – TSER is the total possibly amount of solar energy that can potentially be rejected by tint. The TSER is an accumulation of UV + Visible Light + and Infrared Rejection percentages.
